Unlucky Reds lose out in Ballybofey Untied

Drumoghill won a high-scoring contest last time out when it finished 6-5 at The Moss earlier in the season, and this time it finished 4-3 to Ballybofey United with Kieran Tourish and Sam McElhinney getting our goals.

Ballybofey started brighter and were 2-0 ahead inside the 20 minutes, but Drumoghill came back through Kieran Tourish when he reduced the arrears just before half time. Kieran almost equalised minutes later but was unlucky to see his penalty drag wide.

However, the equaliser did come early in the second half through Sam McElhinney but the home side regained the lead midway through the second half.

Ballybofey extended their lead with 15 minutes to go, but Sam found the net again to set up a frantic finish.

Drumoghill through everything at the home side in the final minutes, but Ballybofey held on for the win.
