Reuben hat-trick defeats Ballybofey United

Doherty opened the scoring early in the first half before hitting another two in the second half to complete his hat-trick.

Calum McLaughlin and Lorcan Harvey were also on target in a game that Drumoghill controlled from start to finish, but will still be concerned with the concession of a few late goals that took some gloss of the scoreline.

Played on an excellent pitch, and under perfect playing conditions, Drumoghill started well and forced Daniel Crawford into a couple of early saves before taking the lead through Doherty on 12 minutes.

The visitors though found an equaliser through Aaron McCauley on 29 minutes, but Calum McLaughlin quickly restored the lead for the home side on 32 minutes.

Lorcan Harvey extended that lead a few minutes to leave Drumoghill in control at the break, and it was a lead that they never looked likely to lose in a controlled second half.

Doherty made it 4-1 on 53 minutes before completing his hat-trick with 10 minutes remaining with a brilliant free-kick.

The visitors never gave up though and restored some pride with a late onslaught that reaped it's reward through goals from Tristan Kelly (84 mins) and Kieran Thompson (88)

Thanks to Seamus Ferry for officiating.
