Reds slip to defeat in Convoy

Kealan Bogle had given us an early lead and we were well worth it for much of the half. However, a combination of missed opportunities and lapses in defence allowed the home side to gain control and they led 2-1 at the break.

Despite the best efforts of Zak Brolly, Liam O'Donnell and Glenn Hamilton, we could find no way of finding the equaliser before a late goal on the counter attack settled the contest in favour of the home side.

Despite defeat, the team can take the positives that we played some controlled football for much of the game and were able to carve open many clear cut openings during the opening hour that we dominated.
