Reds reach Area Final

A brace from Liam O'Donnell, either side of a Karol McGinley strike, was enough to see Drumoghill edge past Deele Harps in this cracker at Martin Duffy park and reach the area final of the Brian McCormick Cup.
And the reds did it the hard way too, having to recover from a goal down on 6 minutes and having to battle back having had the lead taken away from them on the stroke of half time.
Both teams are flying high in Division 2 this season and are well placed for battle it out for the promotion places, so a good contest was expected in excellent playing conditions.
The home side were first out of the trips and took the lead through Scott Macbeth on 6 minutes.
Back came the visitors though, with Liam O'Donnell equalising on the half hour before Karol McGinley completed the turnaround a few minutes later to give his side the lead.
That lead though would not last until half-time with Thomas Mullen notching an equaliser on the stroke of half time to leave the teams level at the break.
The second half was a much tighter affair, but Drumoghill secured the win thanks to another Liam O'Donnell goal on 61 minutes and so it's Drumoghill to advance to the area final.
