Drumoghill have secured at least in a play-off in their pursuit of promotion to Division 1. The win also means that reds still retain hopes of automatic promotion, but they remain reliant on Cranford United dropping points in the final round fixtures.
Liam O'Donnell helped himself to another brace of goals in yet another remarkable season for the 38-year old striker. This was supposed to be a bit-part season for the striker but his form and ability to find the net means that he continues to earn the right to start games.
James Lenty opened the scoring on 7 minutes before O'Donnell doubled the lead a few minutes later. Leon Doherty scored again in another impressive outing before Karol McGinley and Ben Cassidy made at 5-0 early in the second half.
O'Donnell wrapped up the scoring on 76 minutes.,
Drumoghill face a tricky trip to Whitestrand United in their final game next Sunday and know that nothing less than a win will do to keep automatic hopes alive. Cranford visit Curragh Athletic in their final game and know that win will consign Drumoghill to the play-offs.
