Reds advance in Ulster FA Shield

Calum McLaughlin was also on target, finding the net in each half, along with Lorcan Doherty on a day that Drumoghill had to battle until the end to secure the win after having to come from behind twice.

The home side opened the scoring on 12 minutes before Doherty hit the first of his treble 5 minutes later.

Cranford regained the lead on 24 miuntes before Doherty did what he did earlier and equalised within minutes.

Calum McLaughlin then put the visitors ahead for the first time to make it 3-2 on 37 minutes but the home side were level again within minutes of the restart in a game that was becoming end to end.

Drumoghill though managed to tighten things up in the second half and they hit 3 without reply to seal their passage into the next round.

McLaughlin got his second on 57 minutes before Doherty completed his hat-trick on 72 minutes.

Lorcan Harvey ensured there was no way back when he made it 6-3 with 15 minutes remaining.
