Kelly's strike wins it in Dunlewey

The reds made the trip to Glentornan to a ground that historically has proven difficult to bring any points home from, but managed to grind out a welcome win that pushes us into the top six.

Eunan Kelly got the all important goal when he latched onto hesitancy within the Dunlewey defence to fire home on the stroke of half-time.

The home side had started the brighter and created several openings with Joe Devenney and Fearghal Delaney particularly lively in their attacking positions with both forcing decent saves from Lockhart.

Darren Gallagher and Eamonn Cannon were starting to get a control of matters in midfield but player-manager Paddy Cassidy made a tactical shuffle that allowed James Gillen and Jamal Fennane to get more into the game and the visitors gradually regained control.

Their endeavours were rewarded when Kyle Doherty's cross evaded the efforts of Christopher Cannon and Brendan McGready and there was Kelly to nudge beyond Lorcan Gallagher and give his side the lead.

Drumoghill adopted a case of what "we have what we hold" during the second half and needed the assistance of the woodwork to keep out efforts from Darren Gallagher and Keith Sweeney, but they deserved to hold on for the victory with Richard Tinney and Ryan Callan impressing in defence.
