Harvey Smyth struck twice to put his side into a commanding lead at Donegal Town, but it wasn't enough as the home side came back to win 3-2.
Despite an impressive home record Drumoghill hadn't won an away game in the league this year, and they looked set to break that when Smyth scored twice in the first half to put his side in a strong position at 2-0.
Smyth has been excellent this year and his two goals have added to what is becoming a very impressive tally.
With half time approaching, the game's turning point arrived just before the referee's signal for the break when the home side got one back to make it 2-1.
That goal seemed to offer encouragement to the home side which led to a couple of brilliant second half strikes to put them into the lead.
Drumoghill went looking for an equaliser and dominated the remaining part of the game.
They were unlucky not to take home at least a share of the points with Kieran Tourish and Joe McGonigle going close with good efforts late on.
McGonigle was among a number of players that were called into the panel from our U12s to replace a number of regulars that were unavailable and each of them stood up well to the physical test of U14.
