DRUMOGHILL 1-2 STRAND ROVERS

It was heartbreak for the Reds as they saw their Voodoo cup hopes ended with a narrow defeat in Ballyare.

Drumoghill were the better team for much of the game but a combination of bad luck and a goalkeeper on top form proved their undoing and the reds found themselves 1 down at the break thanks to a Ryan Brennan finish.

​

However, the reds came back into the game in the second half and deservedly levelled through Eunan Kelly when he finished well when through on goal from a Ritchie Moore pass.

​

With conditions hot and humid, both teams tired as the game wore on and it became evident that the next strike could well be the winner and it was Brennan again that notched the winning goal for Strand.
